HOW TO KEEP YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM HEALTHY NATURALLY


The immune system is a complicated and miraculous part in our bodies. The entire body is always trying to maintain homeostasis or balance. We need very little but good nutrition, daily movement of our body, plenty of clean water, sunlight and possibly some key supplements to stay healthy.

OUR OUTLOOK AND ATTITUDE CAN ALSO MAKE US HEALTHIER OR SICKER

FIRST AND FOREMOST, WHAT WE EAT AND DRINK ON A REGULAR BASIS INFLUENCES THE IMMUNE SYSTEM! IN FACT, IT IS THE MAIN FACTOR IN ALL OF HEALTH AND DISEASE. REMEMBER, OUR SKIN ABSORBS WHAT WE PUT ON IT, AND THEREFORE ALSO ADDS TO THE BLOOD STREAM'S BURDEN.  THE OLD SAYING: "THE SOIL, NOT THE SEED" APPLIES, MEANING, WHEN YOU ARE ATTACKED BY AN INVADER, IF THE BODY IS HEALTHY AND CLEAN ENOUGH, THE IMMUNE SYSTEM WORKS WELL. MANY FACTORS CAN INFLUENCE THE "SOIL" OF THE BODY.

During a holiday party if I've decided to indulge in drinks AND dessert....I might pay with a cold or flu. Refined sugars seem to make my immune system the weakest. Stress can exacerbate a dip in immunity, like finding a new job, injury of a loved one, moving, etc. MODERATION in all things, is important. 

SUPPLEMENTS I TAKE DAILY FOR IMMUNE SUPPORT

Vitamin D3 5,000 iu (blood tests told me this is needed daily to stay optimal.) 

Medicinal mushrooms-currently Lion's Mane or Reishi, along with some other herbs for adrenal support in some of the formulas.

Vitamin A 25,000 iu each three days (this also supports the terrible eyesight I've had since childhood.)

Zinc 15-30 mg 15 is in my Bone Maximizer or Bone up formula I take before bed, a few milligrams in my multivitamin.

A multivitamin with coenzymated B complex. I choose one with naturally synthesized ingredients. DL before a nutrient indicates that it is synthetic. Read your labels. I often recommend off Fullscript to avoid these ingredients. Some big box stores produce synthetic vitamins with nasty fillers and artificial colors.

Essential fats, currently Evening Primrose Oil (supports healthy breasts, mood support) and avoiding damaged fats. I eat chia and flax daily for the fiber and healthy fats as well.

A newer supplement I have used and been researching is called "The Universal Antidote".  In very low doses it has helped many people support their immune systems. This documentary has much information, with leads to other testimonials and instructional videos. 

MOST IMPORTANTLY, I STOP WHAT I AM DOING TO REST, FAST/DRINK ONLY NOURISHING BROTHS/SOUPS WITH PLENTY OF FRESH GARLIC, GO TO BED EARLY!! ADDING ADDITIONAL ADRENAL/STRESS SUPPORT AT THIS TIME. USUALLY, I CAN STOP A FULL TAKEOVER OF MY BODY. BUT, IF I MISS THE CRITICAL EARLY WINDOW, MY RESULTS MAY LEAD TO NEEDING MORE BED REST. 

The great thing is, the more challenges we have to our immune systems, the stronger they will become! This is why isolating healthy people will only make them get sick! Adding synthetic ingredients to our bloodstreams will only add to our body's burden to remain in balance.
